Somehow, a ‘break-in’ became the beginning of a love story that has lasted more than 40 years. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell first met in 1966. She was 21, while Kurt was only 16.
“I thought he was adorable, but he was much too young,” Goldie later admitted.
Years passed, and both married and divorced. Then, in 1983, they were reunited while filming Swing Shift. Kurt decided to make his move.
“Man, you’ve got a great figure,” he recalled telling Goldie.
And apparently, it worked. That night, the couple went out together — only to end up locked out of a house Goldie had recently bought. The two decided to break in, and before long, the police arrived.
It was certainly an unusual first date. But it was also the start of something beautiful. 
They welcomed their son Wyatt in 1986, creating a blended family of four children. And despite spending more than four decades together, Goldie and Kurt never married.For Goldie, a wedding ring was never what made their relationship strong.
“I can’t explain it, but he was the one for me,” she once said.
Today, the couple have eight grandchildren, who lovingly call them “Gogo” and “Gogi.”
