When she was just two months old, Anmol Rodriguez’s life changed forever. Her father, furious that she was born a girl, threw acid on her and her mother. The attack killed her mother and left Rodriguez permanently scarred. Her father went to prison, and her family abandoned her.
She was taken in by a Mumbai orphanage, where she grew up and slowly rebuilt her life. Today, Rodriguez is more than a survivor—she’s a global inspiration. She empowers other acid attack survivors, has become a fashion icon, and in 2017 founded the Sahas Foundation, an NGO that helps survivors heal and find hope again.
She’s also a fashion influencer and TEDx speaker, using her story to inspire people around the world. In 2018, she made her acting debut in the short film Aunty Ji, starring alongside the legendary Shabana Azmi — proving once again that no barrier can hold her back. Let’s make her even more famous!
