Nina Shipman, the blonde, blue-eyed actress whose career stretched from Alfred Hitchcock’s Hollywood to some of the most memorable television series of the 1950s and ’60s, has died at 88.

She died September 6, 2026, of natural causes at a hospital in Gardena, California, her stepdaughter Lianne Bremer told The Hollywood Reporter.

For many viewers, Shipman’s name may not immediately be familiar. Her face, however, might be. And her story was remarkable long before she ever stepped in front of a camera.

Show business was practically in Shipman’s blood.
