Rosie O’Donnell’s two-word roast of Donald Trump after he threatened to revoke her citizenship

Rosie O’Donnell has fired back at President Donald Trump after he publicly suggested he could take away her U.S. citizenship.

The latest clash comes as O’Donnell is living in Ireland and pursuing Irish citizenship through her grandparents’ heritage. It also comes just as the comedian is stepping into the spotlight as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

In 2025, Trump posted about O’Donnell on Truth Social, saying: “Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!” he wrote, according to VT.

Feud between Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump

O’Donnell responded only hours later, sharing a photo of Trump alongside Jeffrey Epstein on Instagram.

“Hey Donald – You’re rattled again? 18 years later, and I still live rent-free in that collapsing brain of yours.”

She then launched into a lengthy response about why she believes she represents everything Trump opposes.

“I’m everything you fear. A loud woman, a queer woman, a mother who tells the truth, an American who got out of the country before you set it ablaze.

“You build walls – I build a life for my autistic kid in a country where decency still exists. You crave loyalty – I teach my children to question power.
